Extremely Extreme X Games

Coming at the end of this month are the 2012 X Games from Los Angeles. People who participate in this event are risk-takers. Man, they are extreme! Watch Shaun White and see what I mean…

Every time I watch sporting events like this I see hospitals, broken bones, and casts. That what I’d see in my future if I did this! There are some amazing tricks done. There’s a lot of skill in doing them, but it’s also very dangerous.

Jesus is extreme. I can see Jesus as an x-gamer! As barely a teenager he was challenging the religious leaders of his time with his ideas. He changed water into wine. That was pretty amazing. He healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, fed 5,000 men and their families with the lunch of a small boy. But, talk about a risk-taker, Jesus had enough faith to allow himself to be killed, trusting God the Father to bring him back to life! And, that’s exactly what happened! Extreme!

But, get this. The Bible says if you put your trust in Jesus, he’ll impact YOUR life. Your life will become extreme. There’ll be a drastic change. One that’s truly radical. Momentous. And, then, you will have an impact on the lives of those around you. What possibilities!

Are you a risk-taker? I am if the result is worth the risk. With Jesus…it is.

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” John 11 (That’s extremely amazing!)

The 2012 X Games are June 28-July 1. Here’s where you can find more information.
