The Pulse of New York City

There’s so much going on in New York that there’s not a lot of time to sit and think. It’s not exactly a contemplative city. It’s a city that pulses with culture, ambition, and passion.

I read this paragraph in a book the other day. Life can be that way. You have to find time to sit and think. If you’re not careful, life can be like a river that overflows its banks and takes you with it.

But, life’s energy can be a good thing, too. It can get you up and moving and accomplishing all that you need to. You can choose to jump in the current and allow it to take you where you need to go.

God has both sides. Sometimes we tend to think only of the contemplative side of God. That side is when you pray or read the Bible or study. But, if your connection to God ends there, you are missing out.

Take what you get in the quiet times and create energy with it. God is a person of action! Use what you learn to change your world for good. God, too, pulses with culture, ambition, and passion. Don’t miss out!

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. James 2
