for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29
OMG! Some people live in their past! Have you ever watched one of those make-over shows? Like “What Not To Wear”? Then YOU’VE SEEN HER! She’s that lady who looks like she just walked off the disco dance floor in 1975. Oh, and the hair! From the 80’s, no less! Can you say BIG HAIR! Yes, some people live in the past. But, most of us live in the present, we certainly don’t want to be judged by what we did and how we looked…in the past.
Jesus is not interested in your past. The now is important to him. Jesus says: “Where are you today? What can be done to make your tomorrow better?” He has all kinds of good plans in mind for you. Little plans, big plans. Financial plans, family plans. It can’t all be accomplished in a day, but he sees hope for your future.
As you make plans this week, consider the idea that Jesus is also making plans for you. Maybe one day you’ll want to join forces.
